This week’s playlist will definitely keep you dancing.
Katy Perry and Britney Spears both dropped inspired new singles Friday. Katy’s new song, Rise, is a synth heavy, Prism-esqe, empowerment song, released just in time for the 2016 Olympics (only on Apple Music). Reportedly, it’s not the first single off her next album, just a taste to hold us over. It’ll do.
Britney Spears’s new sound is very timely, and hella sexy. The track features rapper G-Easy and makes me want to grind on walls in public spaces. It’s a fresh sound for Britney that I’m sure will sell a shit ton of records.
A few other notable mentions, BANKS (my favorite release of the week), Tinashe, Young the Giant, Snakehips, and Terror Jr.
And for the love of God, if you don’t listen to anything else, play the Tom Misch track.
